When: Saturday 22nd October 2016 – from 10.30 to 4.30pm

clareWe launch our regional Young Writers’ Day programme (for writers under 25) at this year’s Off the Shelf Festival of Words with poet and performer, Clare Shaw, described as “One of Britain’s most dynamic and powerful young poets” (Arvon). Clare will look at poetry for both page and performance, with some tips for young people who might be doing their first open mic with Hive on 27th October.

Hive Young Writers’ Days are a chance for you, whatever your interest and ability, to develop your writing with support from a professional writer, meet other young writers, and get involved in the Hive young writers’ network.   Hive Young Writers’ Days are open to young people 14 to 25 (more or less! if that’s not quite you but you’d like to come, get in touch with: kate@hivesouthyorkshire.com)
