One Mic Stand grand SLAM!

On 19th Feb Hive poets Holly Thorpe and Beth Daves represented Hive at a special edition of Young Identity’s One Mic Stand grand slam as part of the Forward Young Poets Summit.

Poets from Barbican Young Poets, New Writing North, The Writing Squad, Young Identity (and of course Hive) battled it out in front of three industry judges – Sidnie Pantry, Tolu Agbelusi and Jemilea Wisdom-Baako for the prestigious title, a cash prize and ultimate bragging rights.

We’re delighted Holly made it to the final! And Beth did the best impression of a seagull we’ve ever heard!
