WordPath uses creative writing, conversation and reflection to help you build confidence, explore ideas and think about your future. Alongside relaxed, low-pressure creative writing activities, we’ll explore practical tips and skills that can help with everyday life, education and work. It’s a chance to discover your strengths, creatively work through things you might be finding difficult and think about what you’d like to do next.
You don’t need any writing experience or even to think of yourself as creative! You can join our friendly weekly online sessions, explore things through individual one-to-one support, or try a bit of both. We’ll take your needs and interests into account and help you find a way to get involved that feels comfortable. There’s no pressure to share your writing or ideas, and you can take part in ways that work for you. 1-to-1 mentoring is also available for anyone wanting extra encouragement or guidance with creative, study, or work goals. WordPath is about building confidence & skills & connecting creatively with yourself and, where you’d like to, others.
No prior experience is needed in creative writing, and we’ll talk to you about any individual needs you may have when you get in touch. We are neurodivergent and dyslexia-friendly and encourage young people to come and build their confidence in a supportive, relaxed and creative environment with none of the pressure that can come from formal learning environments.
Self-referrals or referrals welcome from anyone working with or supporting young adults who would benefit from this programme including GPs, colleges, schools and young people services and supporting professionals.
Next dates:
Weekly online group sessions will take place on Tuesdays, 1–2.30pm from early Nov 2026, via Zoom using a secure joining link. Through Nov & Dec, we’ll also offer an informal online drop-ins on Tuesdays, 6.30–7.30pm, for young people who can’t attend during the day or would prefer an initial chat/intro to Zoom before joining.
