Calling Y10 students at Clifton, Wickersley, Thrybergh & Rawmarsh who like creative writing…
Join us for an exciting project working with professional writers inspired by different visual artworks while exploring creative writing tips and techniques.
You’ll also find out about opportunities to develop your creative writing outside of school (like Rotherham Young Writers starting this autumn!)
The project will end with a print publication and launch performance that showcases a selection of writing from the workshops with young people in Rotherham and Sheffield.
All levels and interests welcome, and you don’t have to think you’re a great writer to attend!
Relaxed, friendly & refreshments provided.
…………………………………………………………………..
When & Where: Workshops will take place at ROAR in Rotherham town centre (12-2pm) Sunday 12th & 19th May, OR Saturday 11th & 25th May at Riverside Library. They are FREE, and open to all levels and interests (and you don’t have to think you’re a great writer to attend).
Interested? Send us an email with your full name, school & year & if you have a Saturday or Sunday preference for workshops to: [email protected] (Put ‘Rotherham Writing Project’ in the subject line) Places are limited so please get in touch asap, or ideally by Sundy 5th May (If you’ve a non-school email, please use because external replies are sometimes blocked).
