Hive poetry afternoon with Gav Hudson
When Aliens Write Poetry – Talk, reading & workshop
“Language is part of the furniture of the room. It isn’t anything of itself. It’s something which is in the mind of the host that the parasite (the poem) is invading.” Jack Spicer, 1965
Drawing on the work and ideas of American poet Jack Spicer, and WB Yeats, you are invited to contact your inner ‘alien’ and write through ‘transmissions’ from the outside as Spicer saw it.You, might even meet a ghost too. A great opportunity to try something new and experimental with your writing.
