“These festivals are everything! – in one beautiful day. And such amazing value for money so everyone is welcome from far & wide. And you really, truly are!”
Young writer (festival feedback)
Tickets are just £10/£12
NEWSFLASH: Now SOLD OUT. If you missed getting your ticket, first check Eventbrite (we might have had a cancelation) and if we’re still sold out, contact us and go on a waiting list, it’s possible we’ll be able to accommodate some people from lunchtime. Email: info@hivesouthyorkshire
WHY SO CHEAP? We have made the day as cheap as possible to support access and encourage young writers to travel from across the north! Ticket costs have been heavily subsidised by kind support from Arts Council England. If you are planning to travel for it, note, advances train tickets can be a real bargain if you are coming a distance so check what’s available as soon as you can: www.nationalrail.co.uk
DISCOUNTS: If you will still have difficulty affording this and are 25 or under, or you have to pay a sizable train ticket on top of your ticket, get in touch [email protected]. It’s important to us that nobody who wants to come misses out. Discounts are limited and we’ll prioritise people who haven’t accessed Hive opportunities before.
Coming as a group: If you would like to come as a group, please get in touch. Group discounts available to support travel costs. If you run a young writers’ group in the north, please get in touch as we’d love to have you at the festival!
Hive group members: If you are a member of a Hive young writers group, please book via the writer who runs your group
There are a smaller number of tickets for 25 to 30s
Tickets include all workshops, talks & lunch.
Tickets must be purchased in advance via Eventbrite
As a small team, we’d appreciate you using Eventbrite where possible, but if you have any issues or difficulties paying through the Eventbrite system, drop us a line.
Note – ticket price might increase slightly nearer the festival so consider booking early.
